"Roy Orbison sits impassively like a monochrome Buddha."

WFMU's Bronwyn C alerts the world that some of the greatest stories I've ever read on the internet, Ulli Haarbürste's tales of wrapping Roy Orbison in clingfilm (or plastic wrap, in U.S. parlance), have been compiled and expanded in novel form. You can still read the original stories here, and at the risk of hyperbolizing, if you don't enjoy them at least a little then I don't want to know you. Or if you don't enjoy them and I already know you, then it's too bad I can't undo the circumstances that led to our acquaintance :(

I always felt bad for Roy Orbison in those stories. His life was tough enough as it was. He deserved better is what I'm saying.

I didn't read them because I'm afraid that I won't like them and then you'll wish away our circumstances... and that would suck.

Gina: I believe the word you were searching for is "fontasy."

Mike: At least he got to be Captain Roy Orbison of the Space Pioneers in one of the later ones. That's nothing to sneeze at.

ILYITF: I promise not to undo our circumstances. From now on I'll draw a line in the sand over more important subjects, like prohibition and the Utah Jazz
